A specialist resource for acupuncture research information. It is funded by the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and hosted by Thames Valley University’s Centre for Complementary Healthcare and Integrated Medicine (CCHIM).

European Journal of Oriental Medicine

Articles, reviews and scientific papers on acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and related subjects. Published by the British Acupuncture Council.

Journal of Chinese Medicine

English language journal dedicated to professional and student level information on the entire field of Chinese medicine.

The Cochrane Library

An international database of clinical research in all aspects of healthcare, including up-to-date information on clinical trials involving acupuncture.

National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence

(NICE) is the independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on the promotion of good health and the prevention and treatment of ill health. They have recently published guidelines on lower back pain recommending acupuncture. Their conclusion is tucked away on page 153 of the document below.
